This work is her first enka cover album, reinterpreting timelessly loved enka and kayokyoku masterpieces through Ms.OOJA's unique expression and a modern R&B sound. While cherishing respect for the original songs, the arrangements naturally bring out the warmth and emotional expression of her voice, resulting in a work that can be enjoyed across generations. The album is scheduled to include 11 songs, featuring masterpieces that have colored the Japanese music scene, including "Ame no Bojo" by Aki Yashiro, "Ai Sansan" by Hibari Misora, and "Fuyu no Riviera" by Shinichi Mori. While respecting the appeal of the enka genre, the arrangements incorporate nuances of R&B and soul, which are Ms.OOJA's roots, creating an album where "nostalgia" and "newness" coexist. Marking her 15th anniversary since debut, Ms.OOJA takes on a new expressive field with this ambitious work. As the album title suggests, it is filled with "enka that only Ms.OOJA of today can sing."
Ms.OOJA 初の演歌カバーアルバムがリリース! 本作は、時代を超えて愛され続ける演歌・歌謡曲の名曲を、Ms.OOJAならではの表現と現代的なR&Bサウンドを軸に再解釈した、自身初となる演歌カバーアルバム。原曲への敬意を大切にしながら、歌声の持つ温もりや感情表現が自然に浮かび上がるアレンジで、世代を越えて楽しめる作品に仕上がっている。収録楽曲は、八代亜紀「雨の慕情」、美空ひばり「愛燦燦」、森進一「冬のリヴィエラ」をはじめ、日本の音楽シーンを彩ってきた名曲の数々を全11曲収録予定。演歌というジャンルの魅力を尊重しながらも、Ms.OOJAのルーツであるR&B/ソウルのニュアンスを織り交ぜたアレンジにより、"懐かしさ"と"新しさ"が共存する一枚となっている。デビュー15周年を迎えたMs.OOJAが、新たな表現領域として挑む意欲作。アルバムタイトルが示す通り、"今のMs.OOJAだからこそ歌える演歌"を詰め込んだ作品となっている。
